Queen Annes County Birds 2 - 16 Ross's Goose , Raptors Mating and other waterfowl

  Hi all  on saturday 2 - 16 - 08  at about  4:30 Pm and    starting from  Rt 301 to Rt 213  to  Rt 309  to Rolling bridge road back to  Rt 301 near Centreville  Maryland . I  Scanned fields  and ponds in the area and met with some good sightings .    Two Red Shouldered Hawks at Rt 213 at  Rt 309 one on the a fence at roads edge  flew back to female  in the top of a 20 ft high  tree father back from the road   were he  stopped   to mate .  
Latter  on  Rolling Bridge road there was a  flock of about  1,000 Snow  Geese  were  I  located  1 white  adult  Ross,s Goose in the middle of the flock . Complete list is below and also has been  submitted to the Great Backyard Bird count .

Canada  Geese   1,500         all  over 
Gadwall        7           some  in pond  on Rt 213  and others    Rt 309 pond   1 mile from  213
Mallard        4
Redhead       2  drakes    pond on Rt 213
Ring Necked Ducks        94    pond on Rt 213 
Great Blue Heron      1   Rolling Bridge  road    flyover
Turkey Vulture         2
Red Shouldered Hawk    2     Rt  213 and Rt 309  
Red Tailed Hawk          2
American  Kestrel      1      Rolling Bridge Road 
Killdeer       11    in   field in back of the pond  1 mile from Rt 213  thats on Rt 309 
Starling     300   all over    

P. S .  I forgot to include the  200   or so Horned  Larks  flying around the same field  as the killdeer  but way out
