After a dismal effort birding this morning in the Patapsco Valley
SP/Sykesville, I had a nice surprise this evening:

Around 6:15 PM, I heard the FOY woodcock in the scrubland just beyond my
yard. He peented times before ascending and then doing a "twitter descent".

This is a bit earlier than I recorded AMWO last year (first week of March).
