birds I saw while at south point where,
12+ Horned Grebes
50+ Greater Scalp
30 Red breasted Merganser
5 Common Loons
2 Red throated Loons
60+ Buffleheads
2 N Harriers
25 E Meadowlarks
37+ Cedar Waxwings
7 Red wing Blackbirds
12 Palm Warblers
50+ Yellow rumped Warblers
3 Bald Eagles
17 American Robins
1 Pine Warbler
As the fog rolled in I left and headed to Ocean City. When I got there the
weather and surf got nasty raining cats and dogs. The birds I managed to find
where the following.
1 Peregrine Falcon ( eating a Bufflehead on the Rt 50 bridge)
5 Black Brant
4 Bonaparte's Gulls
12 Greater black backed Gulls
1 Harlequin Duck ( male resting on the rocks at shanty town)
12 Red breasted Mergansers
15 Red throated Loons
2 Common Loons
40 Buffleheads - 1 ( lunch for Peregrine )
2 Long tailed Ducks
6 Surf Scoters
1 White winged Scoter
Finely the rain stopped but the fog came in and I decided to call it a day.
On the way back to Pocomoke I saw a frontal cloud roll into Pocomoke City.
Then I got a call from my dad who was in Crisfield and told me that people
where parked at the docks looking for water spouts but none where seen.
Birding forever
