I went out for about two hours late this morning in search of
something interesting, or maybe something elusive... like a NORTHERN
SHRIKE. I didn't see one. I'll keep on searching for this life bird.
Luckily, it was quite a bird-filled Point out there today.

Location: Greenbury Point Nature Center
Observation date: 2/23/08
Number of species: 39

Canada Goose 19
Mallard 2
Greater/Lesser Scaup 1

floating with a can of Budweiser, the King of Empty Beer Cans, with
one eye on the sky.)

Song Sparrow 2
White-throated Sparrow 24

On the way home, I quickly dropped by the base of the Naval Academy
Bridge over the Severn River (on the Arnold side) to the tiny State
Park known as Jonas Green. While I was there, I dodged traffic in
order to quickly scan the little pond / marsh across the street from
the Severn Inn.
