Joe hadn't been able to see the crossbill yet, so we arrived at the site a
little after 7:30 this (Saturday morning).
Around 8:20 the bird began working its way down the large twisted dark
(walnut?) tree that is seen over the sock feeder. In the next ten minutes or so,
it went to the window feeder, the bath, another branch, the window feeder
again (great view, because it's sideways and framed), a branch almost over our
heads, and directly across the street, where it ate red berries in the sun for
several minutes.
(Too bad we're not photographers.)
We did not see it on the sock feeder.
Thank you, Noah, for keeping us informed of this opportunity.
