While searching (in vain) for the Horned Larks reported by Bill Hubick
last week just west of the Benedict Bridge, I stumbled across a 1st yr
male Baltimore Oriole feeding contentedly with a pair of Bluebirds in
short grass just w. of the parking lot at the WMA off Rt 231. This is
not an easy bird in CH County even in breeding season, and indeed is my
first ever there.
The Tundra Swans (~65) reported earler were still across the street.
