I've been unable to post any information due to some log-in access issue that
I'm not sure has been resolved, so I hope this makes it.
Today I saw my FOY Ospreys (2), at the tail end of their consistent arrival
time here at Jug Bay (last week in Feb - first week in March). Then tonight, I
went out to watch the WOODcock show, and was not disappointed. They
have been doing their thing now every night for about a week. Today's peak
of activity was from 6:25-6:35. I also enjoyed seeing 2 pairs of WOOD Ducks
arrive at 6:35, in a swamp where they normally breed but don't overwinter.
These were the FOY wood ducks for my "yard" list. The third species (also a
FOY) was a full chorus of WOOD Frogs, calling every bit as loud as the swamp
full of Spring Peepers!
Cheers-
