I am all for using social opprobrium to discourage inappropriate birder
behavior, but wonder about the identification of the alleged Maryland miscreant
in Pennsylvania.
The default Maryland license plate is three letters followed by three
numbers, of course. While a vanity plate with just five numbers is certainly
possible, most vanity plates consist of letters only. It is possible that "32125"
is the birthday of the driver, but that would mean a senior citizen, someone
unlikely to be misbehaving. I am skeptical that the license plate was
accurately recorded and/or reported.
If this were 26 days hence, I think I would have solved the mystery.
