Needed to take the car back again today, so got to ride by Lake Artemesia
again. A (the?) Horned Grebe was again present (Saw one last Wednesday).

Also present near the top of the Lake were a pair of GADWALL and a third
duck that looked somewhat similar to the female, but had an orange slightly
shorter bill and didn't show the white spot from the wing feathers. I
didn't have a scope, so I couldn't get much more detail.

Several Woodpeckers (all but sapsucker) near the Lake and along the trail
south of it. Also a Hermit Thrush alongside (SE corner of) the Lake.

Good Birding,
