Early this morning at Violette's Lock I could hear Tundra talk coming out of
the fog. When it lifted I counted 470 swans on the river, the most I have ever
seen here. Between 10:30 and 11:00 they departed in four well separated
flocks.
Redheads and Scaups are reduced in numbers, Cormorants, Bonaparte's and Tree
Swallows are up.
