Hi Folks!

I am really excited about how eBird is developing.? It took years to make the last Yellow Book because it was all done by hand.? Bob Ringler had massive printouts from his database and then Bob, Marshall and I had to translate these into the bar graphs.? The final product had bars graphs that covered Maryland as an whole.

Go to eBird and take a look at the work in progress.? You can see bar graphs for Maryland, any county in Maryland and even for locations!? There are the record high counts, the first seen dates, the last seen dates, distribution maps and more.

Recently I have spent time almost every evening going through old notes and entering the information into eBird.? At the current pace I should be done in a few years ;-)

Take a look at the site and then, if the mood is right, pull out your old notes and start filling in gaps.

Good Birding!
