Just to echo Jim's comments I believe the eBird database for Maryland is extraordinary. I have entered a lot for Carroll County to the point that the bar charts for Carroll are representative for nearly all species by looking at the data for all years combined. For certain species that have declined significantly it is best to look at recent years only.
I urge everyone to enter their lists. The combined effect of many lists produces an extremely useful database on a scale never before imagined.
