Hello Fellow Birders,

What to do on a Sunday afternoon? Grab your Howard County Wildlife Driving Tour Map. And get out and bird. That is exactly what I did. (Great map by the way). I went to Brighton Dam from 2-4pm. This was my first time there and definitely not my last. The birds I saw were....

Canada Goose

Turkey Vulture

Eastern Phoebe

Belted Kingfisher (2) one female for sure.

Carolina Chickadee

Golden-crowned Kinglet - ( I personally have never seen this many GCKI at one time. My guess was around 13 in three trees in close proximity. They keep moving fast. My thoughts were on zoning in on the birds and really getting a good look. They are very small birds. I saw both male and female in what I would call a small flock).

Song Sparrow

This is my first posting.

Another Great Day of Birding,
Sherry
