Eric et al:

Posts like this usually aren't acceptable on MDOsprey since they deal exclusively with Delaware. In case you, or others, aren't aware, there is a bird discussion group for Delaware: DE-Birds. To subscribe, send a message to:

with the message (no subject necessary):

subscribe de-birds Eric Skrzypczak (for instance)

You will receive an automated response to which you can either click on the web link or reply "ok" without the quotes. Please keep the introductory email as it will help you manage your subscription in the future, unless you are familiar with listserv syntax. If you have any problems, feel free to email me directly as I manage the list. As with MDOsprey, it is highly recommended that you bookmark the URL and get a listserv password so that you can manage your account without having to learn the archaic listserv syntax.

BTW, there's also a New Jersey list. Send a similar message but use subscribe jerseybirds instead.

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Cape Henlopen and Prime Hook Advice Sought

Hello,

If the weather cooperates next weekend I'm going to try to add some common area species to my life list. I will probably start at Cape Henlopen and wind up at Prime Hook. Any advice on locating these species at these locations would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a list of species I'm going to try to encounter:

Brown Headed Nuthatch
Sanderling
Ruddy Turnstone
Yellow Legs
Semipalmated Plover
Snipe
Laughing Gull

Please send me an email off line if you have advice on birding these locations.

Thanks,

Eric Skrzypczak
