Not to start a big debate, but I think you came down too hard on Eric. 
Lots of Marylanders bird at those better-known Delaware locations, so it 
seems reasonable to me to post the occasional sighting or inquiry to a 
Maryland listserv. And Eric did specify that people should reply to him 
off-list. If people can request off-list advice about birding in, say, 
Arizona or Costa Rica, what's so terrible about Delaware?
