Birds Of Wye Island Queen Annes County on Saturday 3 - 15 - 08

 Hi all  I was  on on Wye Island near Queenstown in QA County   on Saturday March 15  checking  Bluebird Boxes and some birding as well .   Two of the boxes had nesting starts of Bluebirds  in them .  I was able to check about 3  quarters of the boxes before tiring of that as well as running out of time . Highlights below 

Greater Scaup       4     from the bridge 
Ruddy Duck   100
Bufflehead        2
Bald  Eagle       1 adult 
Red Tailed Hawk        2
Red Bellied Woodpecker      1
RED HEADED WOODPECKER       1  immature    molting into adult plumage  [ red on head comming in ]      where the road changes to dirt  go thru the woods    the first pull off  on the right  that goes in the field  just out of the woods  walked back to the river edge  and woods edge  Red head was here. First one in  about three year here .

American  Pipit      30       same field as above  
Robins     20 
Eastern Bluebirds      4
White Throated Sparrows      doxens 
Song Sparrow     2
Junco       12
Cardinal  2
