This morning while walking the dog I saw 1 Chipping Sparrow, my first of the year and my 100th in the county this year.

This afternoon while visiting relatives for Easter at Stoney Beach, Anne Arundel Co. I found time for a short walk and saw the following:

Great Blue Heron 2, in Cox Creek
Lesser Scaup 65, in Cox Creek
Bufflehead 20
Goldeneye 1
Horned Grebe 6
DC Cormorant 150, mostly on White Rocks
Black-crowned Night-Heron 1 adult, at mouth of Cox Creek
Osprey 5
Bonaparte's Gull 1

This evening I went to Morgan Run NEA to watch the Woodcock flight again. Before sunset I saw a small flock of 4 Tree Sparrows. Fox Sparrows were also around and I heard at least 4 calling or singing. Just after sunset a flock of about 25 Canvasbacks flew over fairly low in a line abreast. The first Woodcock was heard about 7:40PM. Only two were displaying tonight. One I saw in flight twice while it was displaying, the other on the ground after one of its flights.
