I saw an immature Northern Goshawk and an adult male Merlin at Patterson
Park today. The goshawk flushed from the Magnolias at the Boat Lake, it
circled twice then flew East over the ball fields. Dave Curson mentioned
that a female Merlin has been there for weeks.

While eating lunch at Chester Cove Marina, I enjoyed seeing a Red-necked
Grebe close up. The grebe was in winter plumage.
