While taking a walk on the C&O Canal towpath this afternoon, I noticed a
little bird flitting around down low on the bank just above the water. So,
I stopped to have a look. A moment later a fine F.O. S. Louisiana
waterthrush popped out in view. It soon flew out to a pile of sticks in the
middle of the canal affording a really fine look for 5 minutes or so. Also
seen, in addition to the usual local suspects, was my third Brown Creeper in
about 8 days, and some displaying, calling, and mating Bluebirds. Must be
Spring, huh?
