Tonight while taking a walk at dusk my neighbor and I saw a Barred Owl, a
very unexpected treat.   

 

For those looking to add some wildlife plants to your yard, sadly American
Native Plants, formerly MD Natives Nursery in Perry Hall north of Baltimore
has decided to go back to strictly wholesale and discontinue their retail
operation.  There is a plant sale tomorrow and a few more dates throughout
the season.  This is one of the best places (if not the best) to get native
trees and shrubs of all sizes to fit all budgets.   Since they are winding
down the retail operation I'm not sure how much staff will be there so be
patient.  (Their plants are worth the wait.)
