I went to Meadowbrook Park in Howard County early today (4/5). The
highlights were four Great Egrets sharing the ponds below the pavilion with a
Great Blue Heron, a Double Crested Cormorant flying rapidly north, several
Tree Swallows, an American Pipit on the soccer fields at the east end, two
Savannah Sparrows near the path, also at the east end, and a bright yellow
Palm Warbler flitting in low brush along the stream near the egrets. Also saw a
Fox Sparrow in east Columbia.
