The Seaside Sparrow seems to have gone from Patterson Park. I watched from 7:50 - 8:15 and it didn't appear. Apparently birders there earlier also did not see it. I went up the hill to the gardens and flushed an American Woodcock, saw a nice male Rusty Blackbird singing in a tree before flying north over the houses, and a Caspian Tern flew over. No sign of the Merlin this morning (for George Jett, who has been trying to photograph it).
