I went to Meadowbrook, Centennial, and Folly Quarter Road this morning. At
Meadowbrook Park there was one Savannah Sparrow feeding Chipping and
Field Sparrows near the playground, two Palm Warblers along the stream
below the pavilion, several Yellow-rumped Warblers, and brightly plumaged
White-throated Sparrows and goldfinches. At Centennial near the boat launch
parking lot were more Yellow-rumps, a Brown Thrasher and a singing Purple
Finch. Along Folly Quarter road near the central farm wetland were many
Savannah Sparrows, one Horned Lark, an Eastern Meadowlark, another yellow
palm, a female Green-winged Teal, Greater Yellowlegs, Solitary Sandpiper and
several Common Snipe.
