Since my daughter moved to the Parkville area, I travel north on 295
(Baltimore-Washington Parkway) from the Laurel area to Baltimore quite a bit. I
take the 895 (Harbor Tunnel) exit just after crossing the Pataspco River. Since
295 is a very busy road, it is almost impossible to get a good look at the large
nest on the west side. I thought maybe someone else had seen it.
Heading North and just after passing the exit for 695 (Baltimore Beltway) and
approaching the Pataspco River, start looking to the left in the trees that grow
along the south side of the river (but not on the river side). The trees overlook
the wetland area. I'm not real good with estimating distance, but I'd say 30-60
yards in from 295. There is a very large nest.
If anyone has seen it and knows more about it, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
Thanks,
