Cecil Bird Club Meeting Reminder for May 14th

This is rescheduled from the April 9th Meeting.

Club Meeting:  Presentation by David Curson, May 14th.

David Curson, Director of Bird Conservation for Audubon Maryland-DC, will talk to us about current efforts related to the Important Bird Areas Program and its impacts on land-use planning.
Afterwards, this is optional we will take a small count of Whip-poor wills in the Elk Neck State Forest.

Directions:
From I-95 Exit 100 North East exit, head South on 272 thru the Town of North East. Make a left onto Irishtown Road as if you were heading to North East High School. Follow Irishtown Road until it ends onto Old Elk Neck Road. Make a Left onto Old Elk Neck Road. Go aprox. a half a mile and take the first right which is Old Chestnut Road. Go up the hill about or not even a quarter mile, and take the first left Justice Way The Church is the corner of Justice Way and Old Chestnut Road.

From Route 40 in Elkton. Take route 40 from Elkton as if heading toward North East, just past the 279 intersection, Make a Left onto Old Elk Neck Road. Follow for aprox. 4 miles. Make a left onto Old Chestnut Road. Go up the hill about or not even a quarter mile and take the first left Justice Way. The Church is the corner of Justice Way and Old Chestnut Road.
Important Note:

When you arrive at the Church. There is a basement door entry on the right side of the Church. Go in walk thru the open dinning area into and thru the tan Double Doors in the back. We will meet in that room.
