   This morning I visited several areas in the west-central part of the county including Roops Mill Road, Jasontown Road, Nusbaum Road, John Shirk Road, Stover Road, and Little Pipe Creek Park.

Wood Duck  a pair with at least 12 downy young, LPCP
Great Blue Heron  1, flying over Kate Wagner Rd
Green Heron  2, flying over JSR
Killdeer  2, JSR
Spotted Sandpiper  1, JSR
Solitary Sandpiper  2, one SR, one LPCP
Chimney Swift  8, LPCP
Kingbird  5, one NR, one JSR, two SR, one LPCP
White-eyed Vireo  1, heard only, SR
Warbling Vireo  2, RMR
Blue Jay  140, flying over in three flocks just south of Taneytown
Horned Lark  4, three JR, one heard JSR
Purple Martin  4, LPCP
Tree Swallow  1, LPCP
Rough-winged Swallow  2, LPCP
House Wren  commonly heard everywhere
Gnatcatcher  5, two RMR, two JSR, one SR
Wood Thrush  3, one RMR, two SR
Catbird  abundant
Brown Thrasher  3, one JSR, two SR
Pipit  2, one molting RMR, 1 in breeding plumage JSR
Yellow Warbler  8, six RMR, two LPCP
Black-throated Blue Warbler  1, singing male, RMR
Myrtle Warbler  1, RMR
Yellowthroat  common
Vesper Sparrow  1, heard only, JSR
Savannah Sparrow  3, two with one singing, JR; one heard singing JSR
Grasshopper Sparrow  3, heard only, one RMR, two JSR
Indigo Bunting  1 male at home at my feeder, 1 male RMR
Meadowlark  1, heard only, JSR
Baltimore Oriole  1, heard only, Nusbaum Rd
