Gentle reminder to report auxiliary marker sightings to the Bird Banding
Laboratory. Go to our home page (www.pwrc.usgs.gov/bbl) and choose 'Report
a Color Marked Bird'. Please be patient as it takes time to get the band
numbers but you will get a reply. Thanks.

Cheers,
Kathy

[MDOSPREY] Red Knot leg band Photos/DE

Hi all. Yesterday Maurice Barnhill and I took a brief excursion down to
the Delaware Bay. Despite the cloudy weather, it was highly entertaining
watching all the Pipers doing what they have been doing for Thousands upon
thousands years.
I took my 15 year old son down today. Great Light for me for photography
and he really wanted to see the spectacle of spring time on the Delaware
Bay and being this is the only time I would have for a while to get down
there, we didn't want to miss it.
I was at the North end of Slaughter Beach for about an hour, my son hung
in there for about 30 minutes before he got board and went back to the
truck.
I did manage to find 2 Knots with Leg bands. May be there are recent
Delaware bandings, Maybe not. If anyone knows, pass the info on please.
Follow the links below, the top on is the leg bands and the bottom is just
some photographs I took today.
