I am enjoying my yardbirds right now, with all the juveniles making
appearances at my feeders and in my yard.
The highlight for me is seeing at least three Eastern Bluebird juvies with their
Mom and Dad in my yard and around my feeders. The adults are busy at a
new nest too. The Carolina Wren juvies seem to be out and about too.
The American Goldfinches seem to outnumber any other yardbird I am seeing
lately. Next would be a high number of Chipping Sparrows, Cardinals, Mourning
Doves and Bluejays and a few House Finches. I am also seeing the Redbellied
Woodpecker and the Downy woodpeckers. There seems to be a large number
of Brown headed Cowbirds in my yard too. Turkey Vultures are always flying
over. The last couple of days I saw a male Eastern Towhee in my weeping
cherry tree.
And to top it off I saw three juvenile Groundhogs and two the adults coming
out from under my shed.
I can hear the Northern Parula everytime I step outside.
