It was another fun weekend at the MOS Conference in Harford County. The local chapter did a great job of preparing and leading the field trips. My personal birding highlights were:

Friday, 5/30/08 at Bush Declaration NRMA - a singing male Prothonotary Warbler.

Saturday, 5/31/08 at Susquehanna SP - Cerulean Warblers and Kentucky Warblers, two young Black Vultures in an abandoned barn. In the afternoon at Swan Harbor Farm Park - a flying Least Bittern, Sora (heard only calling spontaneously), and 3 White-rumped Sandpipers.

Sunday, 6/1/08 at Perryman - more Yellow-breasted Chats than I usually see in a year, two late migrant Greater Yellowlegs, and an adult Bald Eagle (of which I never tire seeing). In the afternoon an impromptu return to Swan Harbor Farm Park with at least a dozen other conference participants where we saw a King Rail walking in the open and again saw a fly-by Least Bittern.
