This morning at 7 a.m. Jim Peters, looking across the Patapsco River, spotted the White Pelican sitting on wooden pilings with cormorants.
Upon arriving at the fort, I walked along the asphalt perimeter path around the seawall until I came to the spot which would give me the closest look at the Francis Scott Key Bridge. I panned the shoreline to the right of the bridge and when I came to the first petroleum farm, a group of big round fuel containers, I looked out into the water and there were the pilings occupied by the pelican and cormorants.
I saw the bird at 8:45 this morning.
I am posting for Jim. Thanks Jim for locating this bird.
