I visited the Henslow's Sparrow location from 9:30 to 10:30 this morning. It was singing off and on during the entire time from deep in the grass; silent for a few minutes at a time. The only time I saw it was when it flew and dropped into the grass again to resume singing. It was rather windy which may have influenced its reluctance to perch in view.
