Yesterday, a juvenile Raven at our pond/fountain.
Had to go through six field guides before I figured out what it was.
A new yard bird!

>This morning, Friday, we just added a yard bird that we thought we would never see in Bethesda in the near D.C. suburbs.  As we lay in bed early this morning we heard a familiar but unexpected sound -- a Common Raven calling.  Going out the front door to pick up the Washington Post, I heard one called right across the street.  Two birds were perched on the house directly across from us.
