It's been a busy spring with work, music, basement floods and a
delightful, amazing newborn son.  So I've not been able to help Doug
Forsell monitor the Greenbury Point / USNA Golf Course Bluebird boxes
much this year.  But this past week, he was off working somewhere in
world... no doubt, helping the birds.  I filled in and these were the

That works out to 38 BLUEBIRD EGGS (potentially 42) and 14 BLUEBIRD
CHICKS in 57 BOXES.

There was one other nest box near the Visitor Center Parking Lot (on
the fence by the mulching facility) that was unattainable today.  Two
Mockingbirds were going bananas trying to keep me away.  Alfred
Hitchcock would've been proud with all of the dive-bombing attacks.  I
got a treat on my left shoulder to take home with me!  Turns out one
of their fledglings was in the grass nearby.  I was beginning to think
that the famous Greenbury Point Mockingbirds were now starting to take
up residence in the Bluebird nest boxes.

Purple Martin - 5
Yellow-Breasted Chat - 4
Northern Bobwhite - 2
