Dave Brenneman and I started the day on Club Hollow Road listening to and
watching the Henslow's Sparrow. Dave arrived around 6:30am and had already
taken a picture when I arrived around 7am. From about 7:40-8:20am it was
singing and showing almost continuously. (I didn't get the man's name who
spotted and respotted the sparrow as it moved around - but thanks!)

Dave and I then headed for Sycamore Landing Road for his target Cerulean
Warbler. About 1/2 mile south on the trail, we heard one from three different
locations, but never saw it.

At Hughes Hollow, Dave got some great pictures of House Wrens
entering/leaving a nest site and some good ones of a young Tree Swallow
waiting for his next meal to arrive. In addition to Great Egrets, Great Blue
Herons, and a Green Heron in the large impoundment on the east side of the
dike, there was a female Gadwall and female Wood Duck. There was also a
several Orchard Orioles.

We started east on Hunting Quarter Road and stopped to hear/see a
Prothonatory Warbler. Our last stop was at the parking area about mid-way
down the road where we walked the trail through the woods. On the west side
there was standing water throughout the woods, and hunting in it was a
Yellow-crowned Night Heron. Again, Dave got some good pictures.
