Hi All,

I have put feeders out for the first time this year and have at least 3 RT humming birds coming to the feeder. I live in Cloverly, Montgomery County.  I have no historic data but at least I am seeing them more often now.

While at the local Wild Bird Center here in West Annapolis, the owner
Bill mentioned similar reports from many of his customers about the
lack of RT Hummingbirds this summer.  My feeders and flowers in the
garden remain unvisited.

But since I know the local Annapolis area is in no way an accurate
representation of the region, has anyone else experienced a
hummingbird-less summer at their home feeders?

Interestingly, Bill also mentioned that live meal worms are
out-of-stock nationwide.  Suppliers are out.  Apparently, the worms
aren't having some unexplained die-offs.  He speculates that demand
was exceptionally high this summer.
