I heard a Brown Creeper singing his heart out this morning on the C & O
canal near McCoy's Ferry. Unusual to hear that beautiful song this far south
on the canal this time of year. I wonder if he's been successful?

Other than that it was pretty quiet on the canal. Other birds of note around
this area include one Warbling Vireo, quite a few Yellow-throated Warblers,
and a Wood Duck Family, as well as Yellow-throated Vireo, Common
Yellowthroat, and a Ring-necked Pheasant on the canal near Hancock.
