Hi All,

Although the Monk Parakeet is no stranger to the Violetteville community I was unable to find it this morning . The first guy i spoke with said he had seen the bird a few times around his yard on Coolidge rd. just a few blocks away . He says his sister has seen it off and on for the last few years . The second guy i spoke with was doing roof work at a house on Rockhill directed me to the nest and said he seen it there on the nest yesterday . I then spoke to a couple from Haverhill rd. whose yard backs to the nest . They say it hasnt been on the nest much lately but they hear it from the big tree in their yard . I lastly talked to a man who lives on Beringer road and he watched the birds build the nest getting nest material from the Willow tree in the yard with the cornfield . He has even had them come to his birdbath for water. He says there is a house on Haverhill which has lots of feeders that the birds frequently visit . Ill probably try again tommorrow .
