Thought i would mention the one bird among all singing birds that simply can't be ignored in my area - Mocking bird.  For the last week we have had several singing almost non-stop.  The one most visible to me alternates his perch from my neighbors chimney to any of several nearby trees.  From the chimney he occasionally performs the singing AND dancing routine.  I have been off this last week (ending now sadly) so have had the opportunity to observe this almost non-stop performance.  When i was working in the Twinbrook area of Rockville and would take lunchtime walks along Fisher Lane there was also a Mocker performing in the mid-day heat...
