Today a goup of friends and I tubed the Gunpowder River around the Monkton area. Here are some of the birds I saw and heard from the rivers level. Turkey Vultures, Belted Kingfisher, Acadian Flycatchers, Carolina Chickadees. Also a lot of Swallows flying low over the river and disappearing near the rivers bank. I was thinking they could have Bank Swallows? Or maybe Barn, they looked dark in color on their bellies. There was a female Mallard with seven very small ducklings..very cute. There were more birds I could not id flying to and from the trees along the river.
