Good (hot) Afternoon all,

After finishing an errand, I spotted a COOPERS HAWK enjoying a rather
sizable meal just a few moments ago in a grassy field surrounded by
woods (off of Old Bestgate Road and Melvin Ave in Annapolis).

The local Blue Jays, Carolina Wrens, Northern Cardinals, American
Goldfinches, Crows and others all gathered around to scream, holler
and occasionally dive-bomb.

The NORTHERN FLICKER (today, known simply as 'meal') was kicking
around in the hawk's grasp for a good five minutes (even after much
plucking had ensued). After a while, the hawk took flight with it's
late breakfast.

Enjoy your Sunday.
