Bill, et. all

I just found a paper on the Ringed Teal, Callonetta leucophrys, that our 
Gwen (Dr. Gwenda Brewer to some) wrote in 2001.  It will have more 
information then you ever wanted to know about the mystery duck you asked 
about this morning on the listserve.  It was published in Wildfowl and 
Wetlands Trust at Wildfowl (2001) 52: 97-125, and she is right in our 
backyard.  The title is "Displays and breeding behavior of captive Ringed 
Teal Callonetta leucophrys."
