Don't know if any of you have seen this on JerseyBirds but it appears that crossbills are moving south at an unprecedented early time. Keep your fingers crossed and keep an eye on your feeders!

Crossbills have been irrupting into Maine this summer, with White-winged
being the predominant species. Something must be up with the cones in
Canada.

They "kip-kip"ed their way west, clockwise around the Point, but whether
they put down in Pines near Alexander or Brainard Avenues, or continued on
to Delaware is unbeknownst to me.

there are a handful of odd summer/breeding records, from the Pine Barrens,
and even a previous late July record for Cape May (Belleplain).
