Yesterday's "All Things Considered" featured a story about an iPod used to
reunite a late-to-fledge wren with its family.

A young Carolina Wren was apparently left behind when it did not fledge with
its nestmates. After observing that the parent wrens had not returned for
several hours, Julie Zickefoose, commentator and wildlife rehabilitator,
dialed her iPod to the call of the Carolina Wren.

When the wren "alarm call" was played, a parent wren appeared immediately to
the reclaim the reluctant fledgling.
