Greetings,
I had a music gig in Potomac yesterday evening, so I thought I'd leave
Annapolis early to visit Hughes Hollow. I missed the ibis. The WHIB
was not present, and proves to be an elusive bird for me this year.
Only notable sighting were 17 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS on the
wires over River Road about a mile on the return trip to Potomac.
While playing with the band in this gigantic back yard in Potomac,
five COMMON NIGHTHAWKS flew over (all at once, at 7:30 PM) out of the
Cabin John Regional Park, heading West.
Oh, and I almost forgot... at the Chicken Out (in the shopping center
at the intersection of Falls Road and River Road) I saw...
9 House Sparrows
1 Ted Koppel.
Good Birding,
