Hello all.

I set foot outside of Anne Arundel County last week for a long weekend in Worcester County looking for birds and butterflies. Also spent some time in Delaware, where I found some good stuff.

Highlights included:

74 bird species including:

Brown Pelican: much higher numbers than I remember
Great Egret
Snowy Egret
Little Blue Heron
Tricolored Heron
Green Heron
Least Tern
Common Tern
Forster's Tern
Caspian Tern
Royal Tern
Semipalmated Plover
Lesser Yellowlegs
WESTERN SANDPIPER
Ruddy Turnstone
AMERICAN AVOCET: 1 Flying west from bayside of Assateague, definitely a county bird for me, unexpected in that area
Willet
Short-billed Dowitcher
Sanderling
Brown-headed Nuthatch
American Redstart
Pine Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler: 1 Found 'north of Worcester County'
Common Yellowthroat

Butterflies: 26 species, including Giant Swallowtail and a very cooperative Eastern Comma found 'north of Worcester County'.

A good trip.
