Hi all,
I am happy to announce that I (finally) saw my 100th species for our yard
in Woodbine this morning. I walked the fenceline carefully and slowly looking
for activity, and found a small pocket of birds in a cherry tree tangle.
Mixed in with about 3 chickadees and 2 titmice, were at least 3 Baltimore
Orioles, 3 Gray Catbirds (rare here), a Great Crested Flycatcher and Eastern Wood
Pewee, as well as #100, a lovely male Canada Warbler! Also in this area were RT
Hummingbird, mockingbird, lots of young House Finches, Carolina Wren,
goldfinches, and Robins. A veritable migrant wave (well, maybe a "low-tide" wave)!
