My husband and I decided to see the MISSISSIPPI KITE show at Piscataway Park. After a 2 hour wait, a gorgeous adult flew out of nowhere right over our heads! Several other birders were able to see the spectacle, even though it was short lived. We decided to walk up a bit to the next field where it flew to, but we were unable to relocate it. Other birds were a RED SHOULDERED HAWK, 2 BALD EAGLES, OSPREY and a COOPER'S HAWK. Afterwards, we drove to Eagle Harbor and we were able to spot the BLACK HEADED GULL, perched on a post at a distance. We definitely needed a scope to view it. Could not locate the hybrid gull. Good Birding!
