Several folks asked for directions to Eagle Harbor in PG county. Here are a couple of options depending on whether you're coming from the north, ie. down Rt. 2 from Annapolis, or from the Rt. 4/301 interchange:

Let's assume that you are coming down Rt. 4 through Prince Frederick. Take Rt. 231 west (just after the Walmart). After you cross the bridge across the Patuxent River, you'll cross into Charles County. Chalk Point power plant is visible to the northwest. Drive west until you enter Patuxent City (not really a city) then turn right onto Rt. 381. You'll come down a hill and cross over into Prince George's County. Look on the right for Neck Rd. Turn right at the soon to be traffic light at Eagle Harbor Rd. shortly after Neck Rd. Follow Eagle Harbor Rd. then turn left onto Trueman Point Rd. at the entrance to the power plant. Follow Trueman Point Rd. to the end and park along the fence. There are Private Property signs around but the beach is apparenly public. The pier where we had the gull was to the right, behind the green house near the fence. Apparently it's been seen on the pilings WAY down across the bend in the river. You'll need a scope for that and
even that will be a stretch. If you get lucky like we did today, it'll be at point blank range though a scope was nice to get the finer details.

There's another way to get there from Croom Rd. (Rt. 382) near Rts. 4 and 301 (south of Rt. 4) but it meanders and you could get lost. But, if you're feeling adventurous, take Rt. 382 until it intersects with Rt. 381. Turn left onto Rt. 381 then look for the not yet functioning traffic light and turn left. Follow directions as above.

Good luck!
