Last evening (24 August, 2008) at 7:25pm I headed down to my bucket to try for a few more species for the day.  I was immediately greeted by a flock of BLACK TERNS going crazy over something at the south end of Jug Bay.  They were up and down from behind the marsh vegetation, so a good count was tough; the 5 or so times I tried my counts ranged from 12 to 17.  I would say that 17 may well be a minimal estimate.  Certainly the most I've ever seen at Jug Bay.
