For those keeping records: on Tuesday 8-26-08 the immature White Ibis 
was actively feeding in the large area of open water in the large 
impoundment for the couple hours I was there.  Not always easy to see 
because of its dark color and it was so much smaller than the Great Egrets 
and Great Blue Herons in the area.
      On Friday 8-29-08 in the light rain I almost didn't see it until I was 
ready to leave when it perched briefly in the trees on the island.  Today 
(08-31-08) I didn't find the ibis during the 2 1/2 hours I was at the 
impoundments.
